Two Bucket Stripping

It was very interesting taking parts off this car.  This hasn't been my first look "under the dress."  But, everytime you dig a bit deeper you find yourself wonder just what in the world the previous owner was thinking.  First off, who ever they got to paint the car was very spray happy.  I thought only factories painted under the carpet the same as the outside, but hey it's just a bit more for the media blaster to have fun with.  Speaking of which, the more time you spend stripping the less it will cost you to have the car blasted.
Over all most things came off simply, all except for that stupid front left fender.  Whoever did the last body work decided it would be too much trouble to fit the lower fender mount nut that is in the rocker panel.  So instead of a 5-min fix, they welded that corner of the fender to the car.  Dude, when it's 10pm and you break out the grinder to cut a fender off the car you begin to wonder if your making way to much noise for the neighbors.  But hey, that stupid thing was coming off that night.
Another interesting tid-bit is that I was originally going to have it hauled with the wheels on it, but Robbie down at ASR told me to come get a car dolly and take everything off.  So I did.  It probably saved me $500 in labor for him, and then I had time to sort out all the old parts and sell them.  Which is another rant for another day.
Oh, one last thing,  NEVER USE SILICONE IN PLACE OF BODY SEALER!  I hope whoever did that on the previous body work is haunted by a giant tube of silicone caulk in one of those "can't outrun what haunts me" dreams.  Anyways, enjoy the pictures!
