Electrical Systems

The magic and mysterious of the electrical system.  I for one like digging into this region of the car.  But like everything else, the simpler it is the better.  So I opted for the original manual windows, locks, and seats.  Yes I could add these at a later time, but with the other bills piling up, they were an un-neccessary expense.  Anyways, if your curious how I got that new motor wired up, feel free to browse around.  I listed wire-code when I worked on OEM harnesses just to make it easier for ya.

With the Ford Racing Controls pack, you don't actually have to modify the OEM engine harness at all.  But then again I was going for a much cleaner look, so I made a few modifications to suit my purposes.  Here I give color codes to help you out.

Engine Bay Wiring

I find that once you get the wiring done for the engine that you can step back and really see a big hurdle being overcome.  Here I finished out the engine bay electrical systems, and get ready to crank the motor for the first time.  Thought I'm a bit methodical with my wiring, there's a very high percentage that it will work the first time.

This is the real heart of the electrical system for the car.  Thankfully I purchased the American Autowire kit.  It was suprisingly easy to install and had plenty of documentation to show what was going on.  Though I deviated a bit from the original wiring schematic there was plenty of hook place ther for such an endevour.
